Stepping Into 2025: Trusting Myself Again and Building a Life I Love
Hey Friend,
Happy New Year! As the holiday season fades and we step into a new chapter, I’ve been reflecting deeply on what 2025 means to me. This year, my focus isn’t just on setting goals—it’s on returning to a version of myself I’ve missed. It’s about trust, clarity, and building a life that feels like home.
For years, I trusted myself so deeply. I believed in my decisions, my intuition, and my ability to navigate life’s challenges. But somewhere along the way, that trust faltered. Being around people who doubted themselves affected me more than I realized, and I started to question my own instincts. This year, I’m reclaiming that trust.
One of my big goals for 2025 is to pursue my CPA certification. I’ve struggled with studying for years, constantly putting it off because of self-doubt. But this year, I’m determined to prove to myself that I’m capable. I’m setting actionable steps, aligning each with a scripture that speaks to me, and reminding myself daily that progress, no matter how small, is still progress.
Why Trusting Yourself Matters
Trusting yourself isn’t just about confidence—it’s about creating a sense of safety and peace within. It’s about knowing that your choices align with your values, even when others might not understand them. For me, it’s been a journey of returning to my “home” within—a space where my voice matters most and my opinion is enough.
If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be this: Everything is not that serious. The only opinion you need to prioritize is your own and how you feel in your home within yourself. This reminder has become my mantra as I step into this year.
Practical Steps to Align with Your Goals in 2025
Here are five steps I’m taking to build trust in myself and create a life that feels intentional and aligned:
1. Write Your Goals with Intention
For each goal, I’ve included not only actionable steps but also a Bible verse that grounds me. For my CPA journey, I chose Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
2. Create Visual and Spiritual Reminders
My goals for 2025 include images and affirmations, but I’ve added Bible verses to remind me of God’s promises. It’s not just about seeing my dreams; it’s about aligning them with my faith.
3. Celebrate Progress, Not Perfection
This year, I’m celebrating every small win—completing a study session, saving a little extra money, or simply showing up for myself. These moments are proof that I’m moving forward.
4. Lean on Your Village
My son, my family, and my friends who feel like family remind me daily that I’m not alone. They cheer for me, support me, and help me stay grounded. Your village matters—lean into their love.
5. Prioritize Joy and Rest
I’m learning that rest is just as important as the hustle. Taking time to pause, reflect, and simply be is a gift I’m giving myself this year.
Coming Home to Yourself
This year is about more than reaching goals—it’s about coming home to myself. It’s about finding safety, trust, and joy in the life I’m building, knowing that God has already planted everything I need within me. My prayer for 2025 is that I continue to align my steps with His purpose while staying open to the beauty of the journey.
Your Journey Awaits
Friend, as you step into this new year, I encourage you to trust yourself. Reflect on your goals, create reminders that inspire you, and celebrate every step along the way. You are capable, worthy, and so much stronger than you realize.
Together, let’s make 2025 the year we honor our growth, embrace our faith, and return to the home within ourselves.
With so much love,
T 🌹
